Welcome To Dreamsville, USA!
'Over the Rail Diner' is located in the Historical Dennison Depot, along with 'The Dennison Railroad Depot Museum'. Built between 1884 and 1900, the Depot is best know as a Salvation Army Servicemen's Canteen during World War II. The Canteen in operation from 1942-1946, serving refreshments to the troop trains passing through Dennison. In the Canteens 4 years of operation it served 1.3 Million soldiers during WWII, the Dennison canteen was the third-largest Salvation Army canteen in the nation. The Dennison canteen became well known by soldiers, and soon earned the nickname of 'Dreamsville, USA' fondly given by the solders who passed through.

Open since 2016 'Over the Rail Diner' is dedicated to making our customers feel like family. We try our best to make a warm and friendly environment, as well as the best breakfast and desserts your money can buy! We love meeting people and hearing new stories, come in and enjoy the historical atmosphere and the good food.
